Cinema Tehran presents Amir Naderi’s ‘The Runner’. Naderi’s autobiographical masterpiece, ‘The Runner’ (1984), is about an impoverished boy who enrolls in a school but finds conflict with his classmates and decides to compete to earn their respect. The film has been celebrated for presenting an authentic image of the encounter with modernity in Iranian cinema. ‘The Runner’ will be shown alongside Truffaut’s ‘Antoine et Colette,’ a short film follow-up to Truffaut’s autobiographical film ‘The 400 Blows’.
